Simplicity is key: Julie & Vik

Wedding Invite - Inside

Simplicity is key; sometimes one can get lost in our big South Asian wedding, however this bride really wanted something different, elements of the culture to be present but not the main focus. The couple were looking for a design that was elegant and collective. We started with the invite and went on to make all their wedding stationery from buffet cards, to lunch stall signs and ceremony programs. And of course ended with a thank you card! By keeping the same theme it really brought the wedding together and branded their day – from the minute guest got the invite, while they attended and then weeks later when they got the thank you card.  Often we get lost in bigger and bolder, and forget that sometimes the simplest designs can make the boldest statements.

I love to see a happy bride and groom, who feel the designs evokes their personality and what they want their day to be. That is the best feeling in the world! Well all I have to say is mission accomplished! :)

Enjoy the pictures of the stationery at the event courtesy of the bride!

Cheers,
Puja

My youngest and toughest client…

January 17, 2011

Invitation

All my clients are special – but this one was a little extra special and I have to say one of my toughest clients – my younger sister! She turned 16 a couple of months ago and of course everything from the invites to the candy bar had to designed to perfection!

I wanted the card to scream her and one of the most distinct features is her extremely long hair (which is down to her waist – maybe past that!) so keeping this unique feature in mind. I thought why not have the labels, buffet cards, thank you favour stickers for the candy, and the invite just be all tangled? Lucky for me she loved it! Let me know what you think!

Cheers, Puja

Kismet Wedding Show Media Wall Fun!

November 19, 2010

First and foremost a very Happy Eid to everyone!

Photography: Karmagine

Media walls are great additions to your event. Here is a picture of one of the many fabulous couples I made a media wall for! They seem to be the “it” item at everyone’s parties! It’s a great way to interact with your guest and grab a picture with each and every one of them – and saves you the trouble of going around tables during the party! The key to a beautiful media wall is getting a logo design. If you’re going to do it – do it right! A logo is very important, and everyone will be seeing it especially if it’s on your media wall, and will be in all the pictures. Contact today to find out more about how you can add a little fun and excitement to your event with a custom-made media wall from Vibrance Designs. Also be sure to check out all the fun we had with our Vibrance edia wall at the Kismet 2010 Wedding Show!

Happy Diwali!

Guest Place Cards

Hope you all had a fabulous Diwali! Since it was such a fun-filled weekend I thought why not share a wedding stationery project that was all about fun elements! From menu cards, wine labels to a candy bar, this wedding had it all! This is a great example of how Vibrance can brand your events and really help make it come together. They used three different designs but a logo and colour combo to tie their designs together. For the candy bar however we wanted a very childish look – thinking back to the fun drawings children make!

Sharing Cultures

October 25, 2010

Front & Back

A key piece to weddings – which is often just looked over and rushed—is the wedding program. The reason is simple – it helps your guest know what’s going on.  We live in this wonderful place where diversity is everywhere, we have friends and family who may not share the same culture as you, and it’s always nice to have a program to guide you through this new wedding experience. The program is sometimes the one design element your guests may look at longer than your invite, or anything else, so having it designed in a way that not only represent you but continues to build on your “brand” is always important.

This is a couple I worked with where the bride and groom had two different cultures and it was very important for her to share a her  Sikh culture but not to overpower the “South Asian” design.

Happy Thanksgiving!

October 12, 2010

Splash of Colour

Hope you guys all had a great weekend, with family, fun and of course lots of food! Since food is on everyone’s mind today, I thought why not share with you menu cards I’ve recently done. A menu card is great for when you have a sit down dinner and a perfect way to tie all your wedding stationary into one! Keeping this post short, but enjoy and have a great Thanksgiving! Like always let me know your thoughts – love getting all feedback!

Cheers,

Puja

P.S.: To everyone who came to say hi at the Kismet Booth and took a quick snap at our media wall … the pics are coming soon! We are just working on getting everyone in the same post! :) Stay tuned!

A little different …

September 27, 2010

Hello everyone,

Aarti and Mohit Engagement

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. This is a little something different. Normally I find most South Asian couple try to stay away from black and white, for whatever reason, family values, religion etc. So it came to a surprise when I got a couple who insisted the main colour of their invite be black!

It was actually really fun to steer away from all the colours of the rainbow for a change and make something that is very subtle. I still had to throw in a punch color — bright yellow!

Anyways hope you like! Tune in for a bring branded wedding coming soon to a post near you!

Cheers,

Puja

P.S.: We are working on those pictures! Need to edit and make them PERFECT – so stay tuned for the Kismet Media Wall Fun!  Coming Soon!
